Her stick skills jumped
Her dribbling and first touch got noticeably cleaner in just three days. The coaches corrected her grip instead of just running drills with bad habits.

Join us for the Motive Toronto Girls Field Hockey Camp! Train with professional and collegiate coaches who live for the game and know how to bring the best out of every athlete. Our goal at this camp is simple: improve skills, gain confidence, and develop a lasting love for the sport!

She trains in her own age group, pushed alongside girls at her stage. Her coaches have lived the game: Elena Esposito, Alicia Lung, plus guest college and pro players. Apart from the training, there is a Q&A with elite players, autographs, and photos you will both get afterward.

Constant reps, not standing around
Small groups allowed her to touch the ball constantly instead of waiting in a long line for her turn. Big difference from camps we've done before.

She learned to hit properly
Her hit was always weaker and by day two the coach had her striking the ball with way more power. Noticeable difference at her next club practice.

Felt safe
She took a stick to the shin during a drill and staff had it checked and iced within minutes. Clearly watching closely the whole time and even gave a refund for the next day that she wasn't able to train in.

Had to dial back the intensity
Really intense training, which is what we wanted, but we asked them to lighten her reps on the last day so she wasn't too sore for her club game that weekend. Just something to plan around if you've got a game right after.

Great for a beginner
She'd barely touched a hockey stick before and I worried she'd be totally lost. They grouped by level so she wasn't overwhelmed at all.

Pushed my club player
She plays club and I figured she'd coast through this. They pushed her harder than her own team does, she came home sore and thrilled.

Bring shin guards
Great coaching overall, just wish the welcome email had reminded us shin guards were required, we had to scramble the morning of.

The Q and A meant a lot
She got to ask a national team player about her path and it really stuck with her. Talked about it the whole car ride home.

Honest about the recruiting stuff
Appreciated that the coach didn't oversell the college pathway. Just honest talk about what it actually takes to get recruited.

My shy girl opened up
She's quiet and I worried she'd stick to herself. She came home with new friends and way more confidence on the field.

Fun without the pressure
Competitive but genuinely relaxed, nobody got yelled at for a missed tackle. She usually gives up on things fast but wanted to go every day.

Personal coaching, not generic drills
Small group meant the coach actually knew her position and what to fix by day one instead of generic drills for everyone.

Staff I trusted
Asked a lot of questions about supervision before booking and got clear answers. Staff were clearly paying attention the whole time.

She finally gets penalty corners
Penalty corners always confused her and by the end of camp she actually understood the setup. Her club coach noticed right away.

Loved the photos
Didn't expect it but they had a photographer there and sent an album after. Some great shots of her mid dodge, made her whole week. Such a great touch.

We'll be back
Great value and attentive coaching. She came home wanting more stick time, not less. Already planning to sign up for the next one.
